When Standard Tap opened its doors in December 1999, our goal was simple:  to create a neighborhood tavern that featured great beer and wholesome food.  With that in mind, we offer a draft-only beer selection that highlights the vast array of styles crafted by breweries located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.  Our food menu both complements the beer and expands the notion of what pub food can be.  We use only the best available produce, poultry, meats and seafood — much of it from area farms and local vendors – to create fresh, seasonal dishes.

This Saturday is Northern Liberties second installment of Second Street Sessions Winter Edition! Stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy shopping and live music!

Standard Tap will be featuring music from our very own Elizabeth Rose!

It’s also Saturday Market and with Craft Foundry! Featuring crafts produced locally by more than 12 artisans; jewelry, candles, hand bound books, soaps, chunky knits, ceramics, printed t-shirts, ornaments and more!

Live music, holiday shopping, craft beer and cocktails, and farm fresh brunch! Doesn’t get any better than this!

Brewery ARS for Happy Hour

Saturday Market @ Standard Tap

In Partnership with Come Together Collective and Craft Foundry and Friends, Standard Tap is happy to announce Saturday Market for the month of December.  Farm fresh brunch, craft beer & cocktails, and holiday shopping all under one roof, 3 Saturdays in December! Brunch served 11 am – 3 pm with the Market open 11 am – 4 pm!

Black Friday/Operation Santa

We will be featuring Stickman Brews’ Black IPA and Victory Brewing Company’s Black Forest Cake Stout with Cherries! 10% of all food sales will go towards NLNA’s Operation Santa! In addition will be holding a raffle for 3 Gift Boxes that include beer, shirts, hats, and glassware that was donated by both Stickman and Victory!  Only $1 per ticket and there is no limit as to how many you can purchase! 100% of ticket sales will also go towards Operation Santa! Great beer, great food, and a great cause! See you there! Starts at 11am and goes through 3pm.

Roughwood Seed Collection Fall Fundraiser

 Roughwood SeedsOn Wednesday September 27th, Standard Tap will host this year’s Roughwood Seed Collection dinner, an annual fundraiser which highlights Pennsylvania Dutch and Native American heirlooms born from the oldest private seed collection in the country.

Billed as a “living archive of our local culture and tradition,” the Roughwood Seed Collection was founded in 1932 and, with the help of fundraising events like these, is continued today by Dr. William Woys Weaver, a celebrated, local food historian and cookbook author.

The Roughwood Seed Collection dinner will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., featuring snacks inspired by the garden and a complimentary glass of Standard Tap co-owner Paul Kimport’s homemade cider. Dinner will be in the upstairs dining room — four courses by Johnny Brenda’s chef Adam Diltz and Standard Tap’s chef Joel Mazigian featuring heirloom vegetables from the Collection. Dr. Weaver will be on hand to discuss current and future projects.

Hors D’Oeuvres:
Pickled peppers stuffed with cabbage
Duck Rillettes with pickled garlic scapes
Corn Fritters with green pumpkin chutney
Mackerel cured with fennel blossom vodka, cucumber, shiso
